We're Back!
Well, we had ALOT of technical difficulties over the last 2 months or so, and I wasn't able to post any blogs! Thankfully, our computer is rebuilt and back in action, so I'll try to catch you up since January 17th! The boys have all grown like weeds (of course), especially Alex! All 3 big boys played basketball this Winter, and Alex was the good little fan that he always is. Will's team (The Texas Longhorns, with burnt orange shirts and everything, Aunt Jenny!) made it to the championship but lost in a VERY exciting nail-biter. And even though the YMCA league did not technically keep score, you can ask Jack the scores of his games, and Papa will proudly confirm! Sam and Jack don't think they lost a game, and I would have to agree. Jeff and Vince Urbanski (Sam's dad) were great coaches!

Jack got a much anticipated haircut!

We made some awesome Valentine's Day cookies!

We had an unexpected visit from Baby Reid, Aunt Jenny & her Dad, Chris Allaire!

The whole Kubaney family went to a Cleveland Cavaliers game and had a TON of fun!

Okay, these were just a few of the many photos I'd like to share, but the technical difficulties are making it extremely complicated for me to post pictures. I'll consult with my IT specialist (ie, my poor dear brother) and hopefully get my LiveWriter back up so I can do this easily!
Check back soon for a new post with LOTS more photos! (Baby Alex got a haircut today, so I need to get thise pics up soon!)
Love to you all!

Happy New Year!

We spent the New Year’s Holiday with our dear friends the Niemeyers (Tonya Farmer’s family, for those who have known her since childhood!).  We traveled to Minster (site of the infamous annual Oktoberfest) on New Year’s Eve and snuck in a lovely dinner at La Piazza in New Bremen.  Then we had a great time at Tonya and Bryan’s.  The kids (I could say “the boys” but Tonya had to go and have a girl- Alyssa Faye- so I have to say “the kids”) had a great time in the hot tub and were crazy enough to make snow angels with their steamy little bodies!

Then on New Year’s Day, we went to the American Legion Hall to watch The Ohio State Buckeyes game.  of course, everyone was in their scarlett and gray and cheering on the Buckeyes!  You can’t see it, but even Alex had his “Poop on Michigan” onesie from the Nelsons!

Happy, healthy 2010 to all of my dear friends and family.  Along with my usual eat-better-exercise-more-keep-in-touch-better-and-generally-be-a-better-person resolutions, I am really going to try to update this blog weekly!  Get ready for lots of basketball shots, since the season has started for 3 of the 4 kubaney boys (Alex is not quite ready yet for basketball)…

2010 New Years 054 Stop by anytime! We’d love to see you in 2010!  Can’t promise the house will be clean, but we can promise we’ll always be happy to see you!

The Holidays were good to us…

We had a wonderful Christmas this year!  As you can tell by the interval between posts, it has been quite busy here!

We forgot how sweet it is to have a new baby for the Holidays :-)!  It really felt like Alex was “official” when we hung his stocking on the mantle!  He made the Holidays all the happier with his sweet personality and easy smile.

Happy baby in his exersaucer!2009 December 087

The Texan Remingtons are missing from these Holiday photos :-(.  They spent their 1st Christmas with Baby Reid in his native homeland.  He certainly would not have been able to appreciate the snow at the age of 9 months, but hopefully he’ll be here for Christmas next year and we’ll take him sledding!

Hope you all had a very Merry Christmas!

Goodbye, November!

WOW, it has been awhile since I posted a new blog entry.  November was a busy and and exciting month for us!  We started it by baptizing our sweet little Alex on November 1st, and we’re ending it with putting up our Christmas lights outside (by “we” I mean Jeff!).  In the middle, we celebrated my birthday (Nov 12th) and Jeff’s birthday (Nov 17th).  The boys celebrated Veteran’s Day at school and wrote our own veteran’s names on stars (Papa, Big Papa, and Uncle Billy, to name a few) and displayed them at school.  We took Alex to his 1st Cleveland Cavaliers game (he loved it, by the way!), even though Shaq sat the bench and Delonte was nowhere to be found (no worries- he’s back!).  We also went to Kalahari with the Riverside Riverhawks football league and had a FANTASTIC time!    Then we traveled to Erie to celebrate Thanksgiving with the Kubaney/Slater family.  Now we are anxiously awaiting Ammy and Papa’s return from Texas after a month-long trip to see Jenny, Jer, and Baby Reid.  They won’t believe how big our Baby Alex is!

Big Weekend for the Kubaneys!

Last weekend was a huge weekend for the Kubaney boys!  (Thus the delay in postings for their mother :-)!!!).  For Halloween, Will dressed up as a zombie and Jack and Sam were gangsters.  Little Alex debuted as a lobster, but unfortunately his size 3-6 months costume was not big enough for our hefty little 11 week old baby!  So we took a few pictures and the lobster quickly morphed back into Alex!

Then on Sunday, Alex was baptized.  It was a beautiful day and he was as sweet as ever.  He slept through Mass and most of the baptism.  Then we had lunch at our home following the baptism.  What a wonderful day!
