Goodbye, November!

WOW, it has been awhile since I posted a new blog entry.  November was a busy and and exciting month for us!  We started it by baptizing our sweet little Alex on November 1st, and we’re ending it with putting up our Christmas lights outside (by “we” I mean Jeff!).  In the middle, we celebrated my birthday (Nov 12th) and Jeff’s birthday (Nov 17th).  The boys celebrated Veteran’s Day at school and wrote our own veteran’s names on stars (Papa, Big Papa, and Uncle Billy, to name a few) and displayed them at school.  We took Alex to his 1st Cleveland Cavaliers game (he loved it, by the way!), even though Shaq sat the bench and Delonte was nowhere to be found (no worries- he’s back!).  We also went to Kalahari with the Riverside Riverhawks football league and had a FANTASTIC time!    Then we traveled to Erie to celebrate Thanksgiving with the Kubaney/Slater family.  Now we are anxiously awaiting Ammy and Papa’s return from Texas after a month-long trip to see Jenny, Jer, and Baby Reid.  They won’t believe how big our Baby Alex is!

Big Weekend for the Kubaneys!

Last weekend was a huge weekend for the Kubaney boys!  (Thus the delay in postings for their mother :-)!!!).  For Halloween, Will dressed up as a zombie and Jack and Sam were gangsters.  Little Alex debuted as a lobster, but unfortunately his size 3-6 months costume was not big enough for our hefty little 11 week old baby!  So we took a few pictures and the lobster quickly morphed back into Alex!

Then on Sunday, Alex was baptized.  It was a beautiful day and he was as sweet as ever.  He slept through Mass and most of the baptism.  Then we had lunch at our home following the baptism.  What a wonderful day!

The end of the season…

IMG_3056 We had a great time watching Will and Jack play for the Riverside Riverhawks this Autumn!  There’s nothing cuter than little boys in full pads and helmets!  We had our fair share of bruises, but thankfully no injuries all season.  Jack’s last game was last weekend, and Will’s last game is this Saturday at 11:30.   If all the boys play for the Riverhawks when they are of age, we’ll have 13 years of Riverhawk Football!!!!! (no pressure, Alex)…

Enjoy these adorable (I mean tough) photoso of our boys!

Will and our “adopted son” Ryan Thomas were helpful volunteers!

Here’s one of Will (#60) during the coin toss, playing at Riverside stadium!  (More photos of Will to be posted later…)

Alex is 2 months today!

Our darling littlest boy is 2 months today, and both Jeff and I took him for his 2 month well child check-up and immunizations.  “Big Al” (his brothers DO  NOT approve of that nickname) weighed in at a respectable 14 pounds, 7 ounces! (96% ile) and 23 1/2 inches long (76%ile).  He has the cutest, chubbiest arms and thighs with lots of rolls, just like I like ‘em!  He’s not sleeping through the night yet, but I don’t mind getting up since I’m not back to work yet.  Now Daddy, on the other hand, hears every snort, sigh, and snore that comes out of the bassinet, so he is very tired at the end of the day…(never mind football practice and a full day at the office!)

2009 October 002 Daddy and Alex, just hanging out…

I will try to work on the blog more tomorrow, as i’d like to make different areas where I can highlight each boy or other topics in a more organized fashion…  I’ll need Jenny for that :-).

The Kubaney Boys

Alex Boys announce 024

Welcome to our new blog!

Hello everyone! This is my first blog entry on our newly created Kubaney family blog (lovingly set up by my dear brother, Jeremy, when he, Jenny, and Baby Reid visited over Labor Day weekend). As many of you know, I am NOT computer savvy, and I even find it taxing to check e-mail once a month! But I vow to maintain this family blog, mostly because I enjoy Jer & Jenny's family blog so much, and I hope to keep loved ones up to speed on the goings on in our lives! Hopefully over time I'll become good at this, and will be able to post lots of pictures of our busy boys. So be patient with me and check back when you can...
